Mobile Tensaw Delta Map

This iba is a 185,000 contiguous acre wetland ecosystem dominated by deeply flooded swamp forest and seasonally flooded bottomland hardwoods. When i was privacy settings It covers the delta formed by the confluence of the alabama and tombigbee rivers in the north, extending southward for approximately 35 miles to the head of mobile bay.

This map or using the wma app shall serve as your season hunting. These tracts consist of bottomland hardwoods, cypress/tupelo swamps, bogs, marshes and a variety of other wetland habitat types interspersed amid abundant waterways of rivers, creeks, sloughs, ponds and lakes. The mobiletensaw river delta is the largest river delta and wetland in alabama.

I worked on it the whole time while living aboard an old house boat studio on fly creek in alabama.

The location, topography, and nearby roads & trails around tensaw river (stream) can be seen in the map layers above. It encompasses approximately 260,000 acres in a 40 x area and is the second largest delta in the contiguous united states.
